James’s interest in tech started with his father, a seasoned IT professional of over 20 years. Watching his father constantly bring new gadgets back home sparked his curiosity in tech, which led him to pursue computer science at Drexel University and jump start his career in IT at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He transitioned back home to attend Prince George’s Community College, where he completed an associate degree in computer science as a member of the Southern Management Leadership Program. The program granted him an opportunity to study at the University of Maryland where he received his bachelor’s in information science and a minor in technology entrepreneurship and corporate innovation.

This same program granted him the opportunity to meet Cloudforce CEO Husein Sharaf as a guest speaker for his business negotiations class. Emboldened by Husein’s story and his passion for the cloud, James took a shot at applying for a role with Cloudforce. He started as a Cloud Solutions Intern and now supports the team as a Cloud Solutions Associate. Since coming into the role, James has completed his AZ-900 and AZ-104 exams, supporting his career in the Azure cloud.
