Having spent her time in college studying both English and chemistry, Sarah has always had a deep appreciation for both discovery and storytelling — she wants to figure out how something works, and then write about it. Her passion for storytelling found early roots — in grade school, Sarah spent most of her time writing about the people around her, which was often preceded by some level of interrogation (her grandfather once called her “Question Box” because she would ask him questions repeatedly until he would politely leave the room).
Sarah’s love for writing, tackling problems, and understanding how new systems, places, and people work led her to become Proposal and Contract Specialist at Cloudforce. Writing — creatively, technically, and formally — has allowed her to connect to those outside of Cloudforce, as well as discover more about the tech gurus within.
As a child, what did you want to be when you grow up?
- A veterinarian — I loved science classes and grew up with five dogs.
What is your favorite thing to eat?
- Rye bread — totally plain. I could probably eat a whole loaf in one sitting if not for my own personal shame.
What do you do when you’re not at Cloudforce?
- I work out, walk, hike, and explore a lot, and am constantly looking for sweets.
Do you have any hidden talents?
- I memorized the first 40 digits of pi in 3rd grade. On Pi Day in my AP Statistics class senior year of high school, I recited them and won an actual pie.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
- Life is long, and there’s time to do the things you want to do (as long as you really want to do them!).
